The application is free
You pay only if you want your counters to sync through a server we run and back up.
Subscriptions are sold and billed by the Microsoft Store. The price depends on the country you buy from, so the app asks the Store and shows you the exact figure in your own currency before you subscribe — no figure is quoted here, because a number on this page would be wrong for someone. There is no free trial: AsanPOS itself is free to use, and the subscription covers the hosted server. Cancelling stops syncing between counters; each PC keeps all of its data and carries on selling.
Questions people ask first
- Does it work without internet?
- Yes — that is the point of it. Every feature except cloud sync and WhatsApp sending works with the network unplugged, because the database is on your computer. Even with a subscription, a counter that loses its connection keeps selling and catches up later.
- Do I have to pay?
- Not to use AsanPOS. The application is free and needs no account with us. You pay only for AsanPOS Cloud, which keeps several counters in step and takes a nightly backup — and only for as long as you want it.
- Is there a free trial?
- No. We would rather not charge you for a trial and then surprise you. Instead the application itself is free on one PC with no time limit, so you can run your shop on it for as long as you like before deciding whether you need cloud sync.
- What happens to my data if I cancel?
- Nothing on your side. Every PC holds a complete copy of your sales, products, customers and ledgers, and carries on working — you simply stop syncing between counters. Your cloud database is kept for 90 days, so resubscribing picks up where you left off.
- How do I add a second counter?
- Install AsanPOS on it and sign in with the same Microsoft account — it finds your shop and joins it, with no connection details to type. If that counter uses a different Microsoft account, the new one shows a short code that you approve from a counter already connected.
- Can I use my own database server instead?
- Yes, and it stays free — but it is not on the normal setup path, because running PostgreSQL yourself is a job in its own right. If you already run one and want to connect it, write to support and we will turn the option on for you.
- Can I move my data from my old system?
- Yes. AsanPOS can import a database backup from a previous system so products, customers, suppliers, sales history and ledger balances carry over. Write to support before you start and we will help you check the file.
- How does WhatsApp sending work?
- You link your own WhatsApp account once by scanning a QR code, the same way as WhatsApp Web. Documents are then sent from your number to customers already in your records. Nothing is sent through us, and there is no bulk-messaging feature.
- Does it print to a normal printer?
- Any printer installed in Windows. Invoices, statements, purchase orders, reports and payment receipts are laid out in black and white so they come out clean on a mono laser.
- Who can see my sales figures?
- Only whoever you give an account to. Cashiers see the till and their customers; the dashboard, reports, purchasing and settings belong to managers and administrators.
